DOVEFEATHER SPEAKS:
"The Zodiacs"
'Another peaceful night,' thought a small white she-cat. Her brilliant blue eyes scanned the horizon, the setting sun slipping from view. A smile spread across her face as she smiled. A blue-gray fleck, almost shaped like a cat, made her purr. "Smokefur..." she murmered out loud. Smokefur was her sister, who had left for a small bit, due to a cat named Tigerclaw, now named Tigerfrost, had come. She was now in her clan, and it was truthfully like she had another sister; she hadn't known her before. A wave of drowsiness engulfed her, and she slowly fell asleep, under the light of the glowing moon. Dovefeather's eyes slipped open. It was dark, and shadows covered everything. She looked from side to side frantically, claws scrabbling on a damp surface. Suddenly a shimmering vision of Challenger, a large, muscular, battle-scarred tom with both ears shredded, a blood-red color, sharp ragged teeth, and matted fur came into view. A gruff voice from nearby. These are the wise words that came from him. YOU MUST EAT POOPY.
RINGTAIL SPEAKS:
"Three of Three will join the clan
they will have the power of the
sun, the moon, and the stars."
One clear night I was gazing at the stars; I was alone, and all the SunClan cats, even Dovefeather was fast asleep. I was looking at our ancestors, seeking answers. A small while ago I had a prophecy; 'One who has betrayed the clans will rise and let forth an army.' I had kept that prophecy to myself, but it always haunted me. That's when it happened. A flash struck through my body and for a second, I was in the stars themselves. It was a vision. The stars disappeared and I was alone--- In darkness. It was everywhere. A deafening crack started and it was chaos- A vision flashed through me- Dogs, and cats, rage in between them, and nothing could stop them. It was still night dark. That's when I saw it. Three glowing cats came to view. One was a brilliant gold, like Goldenstar, but brighter. It was a young she-cat. Her pelt shone like the sun itself. A second one came into view: A young silver gray she-cat, sparkling as bright as the moon. She had ice eyes and a piece of her ear was missing. Then a third cat came to view. It was another she-cat a red tabby. Her eyes were grass green and had a fluffy pelt. One of her ears was gold, and not red. A voice echoed through the area she was in. "Three of Three shall join the clan. They will posses the power of the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars in their paws." The voice faded and I saw the gray cat walk away. "An unexpected action will come that will hold the fate of the clan." I woke to find Snowheart was prodding my side. She got me up and, as usual, everything was crowded and happy. I wondered what the last part of the dream meant. Also, they weren't any cats in the clan that looked like those cats! Although, Silverpool was expecting kits and one of the cats was silver… A few moons later, Silverpool gave birth to three healthy kits. They looked like the cats in my dream. That night, I dreamt that I was gathering herbs on a newleaf day. A tortishell cat walked up to me. She said, "The message was wrong! The silver cat is not the one!"
"What do you mean?" I asked her. She replied, " The silver cat is not part of the Prophecy. Silverpool's cousin Ambertail is expecting two kits. The one with the white tipped tail is the one. I've said too much… I must go." And she faded away. At least I knew what was going to happen. Maybe the cats will never know that they have powers...
